Dolly Parton, the country music superstar and icon, launched the Imagination Library in 1995 to help the children in her home county in East Tennessee. The program now reaches children in four countries and has delivered more than 100,000,000 books to its participants. Recent studies suggest participation in the Imagination Library program is positively and significantly associated with higher measures of early language and math development.
