Community Foundation Hosts Free Seminar on Upcoming FLSA Changes

Are you wondering how the new FLSA overtime regularions might impact your nonprofit organization?

The Community Foundation of St. Joseph County is hosting a free one-hour presentation for nonprofit organizations on the new Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) that goes into effect on December 1, 2016. This new act updates the regulations that define the right for employees to receive overtime pay. In many cases, the minimum salary required to qualify workers as “exempt” has doubled, potentially extending their right to overtime pay.

The event will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016, from 10:30–11:30 a.m. in the Humphreys Room at the St. Joseph County Public Library in downtown South Bend.
