$11,030 to Changing Your Destiny to support the R.A.A.A.P.
after school program for African American males.
$9,472 to Boys & Girls Clubs of St.
Joseph County for a partnership with the Conservatory of
Dance to provide dance instruction at the Club's four after school
sites; Battell, Wilson, Perley and Sample. Gymnasiums at all four Club sites
in South Bend and Mishawaka were used for dance instruction for both
male and female members in tap, jazz, pointe, and ballet. Performances
at the end of each session were given.
$5,700 to South Bend Heritage Foundation for
the African American Arts Association after school arts program. "Art on Lincoln
Way West" is an after-school arts program that offers alternatives
to negative behaviors targeting youth between ages 7-17 in the neighborhood
surrounding the Charles Martin Youth Center.
