Evaluation Form for Participating Organizations
Eligibility:
- Be a resident of St. Joseph County, Indiana;
- Graduate with a minimum GPA of 2.5 (4.0 scale) from an accredited
Indiana high school by June 30th of the year of application;
- Intend to pursue an associate or baccalaureate degree through
a full-time course of study at an accredited tax-exempt college
or university;
- Demonstrate financial need for tuition assistance over and above
other sources of support (students may not be eligible for full
tuition at their school of choice).
Award:
- Students will have the opportunity to cultivate their interest
in social service while earning a $2,500 living stipend during
the summer and $5,000 scholarship for the subsequent school year.
Payment of the scholarship is contingent on successful completion
of the annual summer internship. The total annual
value of the award may not exceed $7,500.
- It is the intent of this program that students will participate
in this program for a total of four years. Renewal of the
scholarship is based upon successful completion of both the summer
internship and subsequent school year.
